The Realms of the (un)real. This is how the magnum opus of Henry Darger was called. Henry who? He was an outsider artist living in Chi- Wait, this will get us too far... Focus! So, yeah... the works of Thomas then... Well, they all differ in style, magnitude, setting and theatrical code but they have one principle in common: every piece is inspired by the true events. A forgotten myth, a lost diary - usually regarding someone who felt like an outsider, struggling with forces of society - or who was casted out completely. There's no greater imagination to be found than in life itself.
When a certain theme, story or feeling becomes necessary - or simply when an independent producer commissions new work - Janssens sets to work - reading and searching - digging into unknown or secret histories - like an archeologist of the soul (as his teacher Dora van der Groen once said). A year before his death, Franz Kafka experiences something extraordinary. While walking through Steglitz Park, Berlin, he encounters a little girl with a broken heart. She has lost her doll. To calm her, Kafka introduces himself as the postman of the dolls and tells her that the doll has left on a journey. But the latter has sent a letter to her former owner that letter carrier Franz will deliver the next day!

When landlords Kiyoko and Nathan Lerner set out to clear the condo, they stumble upon a life's work the value of which they cannot imagine.

After dousing her head and body with kerosene, she lights a match and sets herself on fire. As a protest for world peace. What had happened with her grandfather that this catastrophe was inevitable?!
