05/04/25 Our Five Acts
The Forest School follows a five-act structure, like a classical drama. But what’s at stake here is real: a search for grounding, community, and self-affirmation.
1. Exposition
A man feels out of place. A late diagnosis reframes his past. He sets out to create a space where difference isn’t fixed, but embraced.
2. Inciting Event
That space takes shape in the theatre. A group of neurodivergent participants builds a fictional community—only to discover how real it starts to feel.
3. Rising Action
They reconstruct life stories and share dreams. But tensions rise. Theatre becomes not only a safe space, but also a magnifying glass.
4. Crisis
When the founder’s foundation starts to crumble, so does the project. The group feels betrayed. Everything seems to fall apart.
5. Resolution
Will The Forest School survive? Continue? Evolve? Maybe not physical - but as an idea?!

The summer of '25
New Space, New Energy
This summer, The Forest School has temporarily left its trusted home in the Middelheim Museum and moved into the black box of Schouwburg Luchtbal. Here, we’re diving into a series of intensive rehearsal weeks, exploring new layers of our stories and growing together as a group.
